Building on the experience of the 2013 SANITAS workshop at the IWA LET conference, this year workshop was devoted to Emerging Challenges for a Sustainable and Integrated Urban Water Systems, yet with a different approach: instead of elaborating on the future contribution of SANITAS to tackling emerging challenges, the EcoSTP workshop built a forum of discussion on research findings, practice and policy across 4 levels.
1) Development of Advanced Technologies
2) Plant-wide Optimization
3) Analysis of Integrated Urban Water Systems
4) Decision Support Systems for Sustainable UWS Management

4th SANITAS Training Week in Girona
The last Training Week of SANITAS took place in Girona – 20-24 of October 2014 and brought together all the SANITAS fellows for an intensive course on Decision-making and Multicriteria for Urban Water Systems.
The Training Week was organized by the Universitat de Girona (UdG), LEQUIA, and hosted at the Faculty of Science, in the Montilivi Campus.
